Postnatal Osteopathy
Post-natal Osteopathy
Each delivery is different, every experience is different and personal no matter if it is your first or 10th child!
As Osteopaths we understand your journey is unique and can help release the trauma of birth through the tissues, release tensions and re balance your body and pelvis. When we talk about trauma this does not have to be a negative connotation but the sense of a strong and powerful force through your body.
Your new life begins, lack of sleep and repetitive motions such as feeding, lifting, carrying pushing the buggy, changing nappies and bathing your baby, can put a lot of stress on your body. This period is also called the 4th trimester as mothers are still biologically linked to their baby even though they are now two individuals. Therefor treatment on both the mother and the baby is beneficial. We will give you advice on posture, feeding, exercise and guide your recovery.
Support during the post-natal phase is crucial, whether it be from family, friends or professionals. We aim to give you confidence and as much information to help you recover faster.
