C-Section Scar Therapy

C-Section Scar Treatment

As your body heals after a C-section, scar tissue naturally forms. This tissue is fibrotic, less elastic, and less mobile than regular tissue. In some cases, adhesions may develop, causing layers beneath the skin to stick together.

Tight scar tissue and adhesions can sometimes lead to discomfort, symptoms, or a visible “pouch” or overhang. Therapy can help alleviate these effects, improve mobility, and enhance recovery.

To address these issues, a specialized non-invasive therapy has been designed to treat scar tissue, fibrosis, and adhesions. This approach combines targeted scar massage, fascial release techniques and self-care guidance to support a healthy recovery.

The RESTORE Scar Therapy Method

• Focuses on holistic recovery: addressing physical, emotional, and fascial restrictions.

• Helps reduce symptoms such as numbness, pain, sensitivity, and related discomfort like hip or back pain.

• Works to improve the appearance of the scar and target adhesions or fibrosis beneath the surface.

We cannot make your scar disappear. Results vary, but tarting treatment early can lead to the best cosmetic improvements. That said, its never too late! Scar Therapy can still create significant changes to older scars.

While a course of treatment is recommended, even a single session paired with self-care techniques can make a difference.

Diana Cipriano

"Iona really helped me to return to working out post partum. She did a thorough check with the Mommy MOT and then recommended a customised plan for me. Her work on my back also provided immediate relief. Highly recommend her for all post partum moms who want to return to activity and feeling better faster!"

Brenna Hanley

"I can highly recommend this practice for pediatric and postpartum osteopathic treatments. Iona is very professional and friendly, she always explains what she is doing and why. She also gave me massage techniques and exercises to do at home. I have been attending sessions myself to help with postpartum pains and have been bringing my newborn regularly (issues with breastfeeding, neck mobility restriction that resulted in a flat head). I could see improvements with my health and with my daughter’s movements after each session. Highly recommend Iona."

Yulia Vylegzhanina

Oliver Nice

"I have been going to Eglantine for a couple of years and she always fixes any issues with my body. I would highly recommend anyone to go to Eglantine."

Corey Cummins

"I went to see Eglantine after falling down some steps and badly injuring my back a few months before. I was not healing as I had hoped and couldn’t get back to exercise, and after multiple unhelpful trips to the doctor, I was in desperate need of a treatment. Eglantine was fantastic! She was very thorough, and took the time to find out exactly what was going on with the muscles in my back…"
