Clinical Pilates
Clinical Pilates is Pilates that is bespoke to the patients’ needs.
Eglantine combines osteopathy and Pilates to better manage the patient, whether it is for an injury recovery, general fitness, post-natal strengthening, injury prevention or simply postural rehabilitation.
She will first do a 1:1 assessment to learn about your medical history, present complaint (If any) and goals and see how your body moves, where are the weaknesses and strengths. After this, she will be able to build you a personal class and program to get you to where you want to be.
The APPI Pilates method was developed by physiotherapists who analysed the effectiveness of Pilates exercise for a client that had suffered an injury. Modifications were made, and a unique exercise-level approach developed to allow a client to be trained correctly from an injured state to a fully fit, functional and efficient state. This allowed Pilates to be used by health and fitness professionals alike to empower clients to be able to embrace Pilates from any fitness level. This step-by-step approach led to the APPI Pilates Method becoming one of the most popular forms of rehabilitation training in the healthcare sector.
Pilates is a great addition to your osteopathic care. As your osteopath releases tensions in your body and improves your biomechanics, you can then mobilise and strengthen your body with Pilates. This means you learn about your weaknesses and therefore are able to address them to prevent recurrent injuries.
